‘Readathon’ -
On Wednesday 5th of May, the whole of Blankenhagen school took part in a 20 minute
sponsored Readathon. Pupils and staff all read a range of fiction & non fiction books,
comics, magazines and annuals for a non-
The sponsored Readathon was organised by the School Council and was held to raise money to help towards building a toy library in Africa. Our toy contributions from the Spring term have already been sent .
The Readathon took place in the school hall at 2.30pm. Mr Turner rang a bell to start the reading then rang it again to stop the reading. Some children took cushions and beanbags into the hall to sit on!
The whole school tried hard to concentrate on their reading and everybody succeeded!
