Everybody Matters
Y5 did a sponsored dance on Friday 30th April. We all got given a sponsor sheet and asked people to sponsor us per minute or for a set period of time. We danced for 38 minutes, it was tiring work! First we did a dance to Bride And Prejudice, followed by Jai Ho & then another dance to Bride And Prejudice but in separate groups. We then repeated the sequence for as long as we could. This was our final fundraising event for Khandel Light and was also a celebration of all we have learned through our theme ‘Into India’.

Over the spring term Miss Pearce taught us about the conventions of Indian music. We listened to various recordings and found out the ‘ingredients’ that are put together to make such a piece of music. We then started to plan our own class composition, we had to think about relevant instruments, number of beats and who would play what and when.
We are very proud of our finished composition and would like you to listen to it.
