On Thursday the 10th June, Mrs. Simpson took 12 year 4 children to take part in the Interschool Rounder’s Tournament in Barker Barracks in Paderborn.
We arrived by coach and were able to have a small break to prepare ourselves before our first match.
We played rounders all day long it was a very hot day and we were all sweating but the army provided lots of free drinks.
We played four matches but sadly we were not in the finals!
In our group matches we came third and we were all very pleased with this result. We played well sticking to the rules and clapped for every other team that played.
Three players from each team were awarded special certificates; best bowler, best batter and best fielder. Dylan was our best bowler, Amy was our best batter and Xaver was our best fielder / back stop. At the end of the tournament they were awarded special certificates and their photograph was taken for the local paper.
Mrs. Simpson said we all deserved a special certificate as we were all fantastic team players and a credit to the school!
